By cnvhDecember 1, in Post-op Gastric Bypass. I was a fairly heavy smoker before surgery I quit 1 week before surgery, stayed "quit" until 6 weeks erisa and pension plan beneficiaries when I started up again. So now hubby and I have decided to make a serious effort at quitting for good. After about 2 minutes, it goes away almost instantly and after that, all is well. I had used chantix pre- op and it worked great!
Without looking for a lecture I started smoking again post-op and I thought to myself what the hell am I doing so I started the chantix again. After I took it within minutes my pouch was on fire. I am talking about severe burning pain, chantrix and weight loss surgery.
Oh by the way. I am glad you posted this my partner was probably wondering if I was telling the truth. I tried Chantix post op and ended up having to stop about two days later. I had horrible pain in my pouch and the worst nausea I have ever had. The first time it gave me problems, I took one about 3 minutes before actually eating Glad I quit 10 months before my surgery, lol.
I still get cravings chantrix and weight loss surgery and then, but they seem to go as chantrix and weight loss surgery as they come I quit for surgery about 8 months, started up again. So I tried chantix again This may sound dumb but is it better or worse taking it with milk rather than food? Also what about some Nexium or similar in the short term to help out?
